As a certified public accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with more than 25 years experience, I established Korbitz Financial Planning to deliver expert financial planning, tax planning and tax preparation services to individuals, couples and families. I am committed to providing my services on a fee-only basis in order to meet your goals, on your terms.
Experience
My professional career began in Milwaukee with international accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co. where I specialized in individual taxes and personal financial planning. After several years with Arthur Andersen, I joined a Milwaukee-area CPA firm where I continued to hone my skills in individual taxation and personal financial planning. I started my own firm in 1995.
Education
I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Accounting Science, with an emphasis in taxation, from the University of Illinois.
Affiliations
I am a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Recognition
I received the prestigious Elijah Watt Sells Award With High Distinction for high performance on the national Uniform Certified Public Accounting examination. The award is given to candidates with the highest scores on the national CPA exam. I have been quoted on estate tax planning, education funding, disability insurance and the tax aspects of home ownership in The Wall Street Journal, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine.
